CHESS - AN OVERVIEW

The board is placed with a light-weight sq. at the correct-hand corner nearest to every player. The right place of the light square may be remembered by the phrase "gentle on appropriate", even though the proper positions on the king and queen may be remembered because of the phrase "queen on her personal shade" (i.e. the white queen begins on a li
